Grills of Mississippi was started by two longtime friends, Jonathan Huddleston and Tracy Hopson. They both have backgrounds in the audio/video business. Jonathan in home audio/video, Tracy in the 12volt industry. Jonathan and Tracy met and became friends in the a/v business some 20 years ago. Both spent countless hours in the backyard grilling and BBQing for family and friends when one day Tracy decided to give competing for a try. That was almost 10 years ago! He competed for several years before hooking up with Jonathan at a local, non-sanctioned, bbq contest where they took 2nd place overall. The very next weekend Hopson had a sanctioned event to compete in and invited Huddleston to come along with him. They decided to continue to compete as a team and one thing led to another and today they are known as Pellet Porkers BBQ Team! During travels to and from competitions, they realized they were always bringing loads of bbq supplies back to friends and family, so they decided to open a bbq supply store............That's where Grills Of Mississippi came from!! All of the rubs and sauces carried in the store are from teams that they compete with or different places they have eaten! None of the items found in the store are something that you will find at a local "box store"! Its all unique and has a story behind it! "We strive to make everyone a better BBQ'er/griller!", Huddleston says. Tracy and Jonathan are very passionate about what they do and are always trying to learn something new and pass that knowledge on to you!
